sprinkler fun.

Today was hot so I got out T's sprinkler for the children to play in. D. did not like the sprinkler at all! She cried when she got wet! LOL! This is her mad face.

T. loves to run in the sprinkler (like most children do).D. had more fun pulling up grass, tearing leaves, and watching ants.

T. Spent a lot of time running in and out of the sprinkler . Today he didn't have any interest in grass, leaves, or ants. For him water play was a LOT more fun!

She is mad at the water spraying at her.

T. is happy as can be in it!My little girl..... she can be so cute!
T. is using swords to fight off the evil sprinkler (Batman). LOL!

D . running away from the water.D. Was a lot happier in her sand and water table. She would spend all day and night in her sand and water if we would let her. She really does spend hours a day in this and never gets bored with it.

T. all wet. He came over to the sand and water table to play with his sister after I made him turn off the sprinkler.

Local playground

I tried to take my children to see the courthouse today but I couldn't find a place to park. After driving around in circles for a very long time I gave up. We will try to do that again tomorrow. We have been finishing up school very early every day so we have some extra time in our days. We got our riding lawn mower fixed so I don't have as much grass to cut. DH cuts most of it now. We just bought a van (used) so now I have a car!!! My own car!!!! I am so happy we can fit the baby due in Sept. in this car with no problems! I think the other car would be a tight fit with 3 car seats in the back and my DH's car he used for work didn't fit 2 car seats in well 3 would have never fit in it. I always had my own car but in the winter my car (one that the children rode in) is all wheel drive so hubby needed to drive it when ever we had a chance of snow (in Pa that is all the time from Oct-April). I am so happy!! I will not have to live without a car when the weather "might" get bad or hubby wants to bring stuff home anymore. I took it out today for the first time. I like it! I will be getting out a lot more now! I can go run errands and shop again! I have been trying to get to the post office for months now. It will be so easy for me to do this week!

We stopped at a playground today. I thought that maybe if D. ran around and climbed for an hour or so she would want to take a nap when she got home. I was wrong! They did have fun but neither of them looked tired when we got back.

T. climbing. Both my children are climbers. It is easier for me to get him in a picture when he is climbing because he climbs a lot slower than he runs.

This is D having fun (getting into trouble). We tell her over and over FEET FIRST on the slides! She listens until she sees me blink or turn my head for a second and then this is what I see when I open my eyes. LOL!

This playground has lots of trees around. Staying out of the sun is not a problem most of the time but today we stopped by at the wrong time. It was hot and bright. T. needs a new pair of sunglasses I think.

D. being her cute self.

T. pushing his sister on the swing. My children are such good children!

I hope to start posting school stuff again on this blog. I am getting back into the routine of taking pictures and trying to squeeze in a little computer time each day. I hope to be back on track in the next few days. I have been doing lots of our school outside. I just need to remember to grab the camera when we go out to do it!

Trip to Frances Slocum State Park.

We went out to Frances Slocum State Park yesterday. It has a very nice playground! It was wonderful (maybe even the perfect playground) for my children. This one has a bunch of challenging things for T. and lots of small fun things for D. Most playgrounds seem to be more fun for one of the two children. Frances Slocum has a nice horseshoe shaped lake but I didn't think to take a picture of it. I always forget to take pictures of things. I know we will be going back to this state park in a few weeks and I will try to take more pictures then.

This is D. looking down a big slide.
T. walking across the swaying poles.

D. trying to rock. Her legs are a tiny bit short.
Her favorite thing to do head first down a slide.
We left the park and went out to Harvey's Lake to have some pizza for dinner. Harvey's lake is one of the largest natural lakes in Pa. After pizza we drove around the lake. Then we stopped for ice cream cones at an ice cream stand before we went home. The children like to play on the truck at this ice cream stand. This is T climbing up.
This is T acting very silly in the truck.
T. and D. in the back getting ready to go down the slide one last time.
It was another fun family day for us.

Trip to Lackawanna State Park

We took a trip out to a state park today. My hubby decided on this visit that he likes the thought of camping with the children so we will either take it up this year or next summer. We will have to see how everything works out. Our list of things we want to do before the baby comes keeps getting longer. I am starting to think we will not be able to fit everything in.

T. got to do some rock climbing.

We found one of the old playgrounds up in the tent sites. It is a lot like the one we played on as children. This is a picture of D. trying to climb up some of it. I hope you can see how high the blocks are for her to climb. She had to work hard to get up it.

About 30 minutes later she made it on her own to the top of the blocks. She was so happy when she found that a slide was at the top!
This slide must seem so big to her.

This is T. way up high. He is so proud of himself for climbing up so high. This is another picture of T way up high.

This is funny! This one is of hubby up high on the blocks thinking to himself..... I think it was a lot higher when I was a kid. LOL!

We then went down to the new playground. D. had fun on the slides.

Another picture of D. We got lots of pictures of D. on this playground but all of the ones of T. turned out blurry or only showed part of him. He runs so fast and plays so hard on playgrounds it is hard to get a picture of him. I am starting to think 7 year old children are faster than parents with cameras. LOL! I am glad D. isn't that fast yet.

We walked down to the lake. the lake is very pretty. I wish I would have taken some better pictures of it.

Our children on a rock. D. is getting ready to get off it.T. on the rock.

I packed blueberry muffins and juice so we had a snack before we left. Hubby took us to Manning's farm for ice cream on our way home. It was another fun day out.
