A Beautiful Sunday Wedding.

In a soft sweet voice I heard

Mama,
Oh Mama, (said my girl age 3)
Mama could you please help me,
Mama, I NEED to get married,
I have on my blue dress,
I just need a hair fing (thing).
You know that special hair thing,
That one for a girl in a dress.

LOL! I love the way my 3 year old looks at the world! I did what any other mother would do. I let her and her brother mix up the brownies themselves (even crack the eggs) while I ran off to my craft box trying to save the day.

2 minutes later (5 if you count getting out supplies and taking pictures) and I came up with this. The tutorial on how to make this can now be found here.

I was not ready for such a rushed wedding. I think it all started before the cake finished baking.

The Wedding.
It was a beautiful day for a wedding. 85 and sunny in April is almost unheard of.

She very carefully picked out her flowers for her bouquet.

Such a lovely bride. Don't you agree?

Right by her side the entire time was her littler sister.

Everyone cries at weddings and this wedding had lots of tears.

The brides little sister was the maid of honor for this special occasion and more tears than can be counted rolled down her face today.

I heard rumors that all the tears came from jealousy. Some even whispered always a brides maid never a bride (rude people). Many people said she cried so many tears because she was so sad over the thought of loosing her sister and very best friend. I heard the soon to be bride reassure her sister that she would still spend lots of time with her even after the wedding. She promised her they would be best friends forever and ever. That seemed to help stop the tears.

Personally I think the real reason behind all the tears was because she wanted to hold the yellow bouquet. I whispered to her that when the bride tosses the bouquet it would be all hers.

The big brother gave the bride away. Such a true gentleman.

Everyone said the best part was the party that followed the ceremony. Everyone ate cake and had lots of fun.

I guess the rumor I heard earlier in the day of the groom being a prince is true. I saw her still in her wedding dress but wearing a crown much later in the day.

She was all tired out and ready for bed before dinner.

Weddings are so fun but very exhausting indeed.

Hello Internet!

We have lived forever with dial up. We used the try to load a page and go off to make a pot of coffee or wash dishes and hope the page loads, method of web browsing. That was very frustrating but not nearly as bad as our situation over the last few months. The long phone cord we use on my laptop got messed up and we would have to hold the cord in and not let it move at all to get online and read mail or look at any web pages. Everyone in my family quit using the computer. It was too much work to get it to work. I am happy to say that is all over now! The nice TV and Phone/Internet men came to our house this morning and upgraded us. I am now completely cordless with my laptop and my children are all watching TV. We don't usually use the computer or the TVs at lunch time but it is a bit exciting having our electronics all working. Our TV has not worked right for 13 years! We have had Direct TV and most days at some point some or all of our channels vanish. We get a searching for signal message on the screen. Most summers the leaves on the trees block our signal and keep us from getting any TV for months at a time. The Dish Network man said that we will not have that problem anymore. I hope that is true. I guess it can't get much worse that what we had.

I now have a TON of emails in my box to read this weekend. I haven't been on the computer in a very long time. I hope to get some time this weekend to read and clean out my inbox. I still have some school work to do with my children today but I hope to sneak in some computer time in my day once we finish up! I hope to be back in a few hours.
