The lion story....
We finished up school early on Thursday. D took a nap. T went up to play in his room. I decided to make some lion costumes so my children could come in like a lion for March 1st. The idea of how to make it popped into my head as I was making it. I remembered to take pictures as I went along in case it did turn out (I didn't think it would). In the end I was proud of how it turned out. I often try to make something that I picture so perfect in my head but then it turns out UGLY when I try to make it. Many ideas of mine are better left in my head. LOL! BUT this one turned out better than what I had in my head. I was so excited to show my children! My son came downstairs when my daughter got up from her nap. I put it on myself and said look what Mommy made! ROAR!!! T said that is silly I don't want one! I went over to D and asked her if she wanted the lion costume. She said NO! NO! NO! NO! THEN CRIED! I am crushed! I put down my directions on how I made it on my sewing and craft blog. http://schoolnsuch.blogspot.com/ I hope my children warm up to it. I doubt I will ever get either of them to dress up as a lamb at the end of the month! I had to bribe my son to wear it for a picture. He said I couldn't share the picture! Once I asked him if it would be OK to share just to show moms with little children NOT to make fun of him he agreed. He is funny! He doesn't want to be seen in the lion costume but he is mad that I haven't posted pictures of our Cat in the hat style hats, and presidents hats we made. I think he looks funny in them! I guess I will never figure out children!

Your children are too adorable to look "funny" in anything!
My daughter thought he looked "cool".
Your son is soooo cute. i love how he is not looking at the camera. You can just read his face, " Oh great, what is my mom making me do now." LOL
