our new family member.

My wonderful hubby brought us home a new pet today! I am so excited! I spin yarn and have wanted fiber animals for our farm for almost 2 years now. I now now have a fiber animal to spin yarn with. My children (and hubby) also love our new family member! D. took a nap today and when she woke up the first thing she said is I need to see the bunny! LOL!

He is a French Angora bunny!!! Isn't he cute????

I saw the post title and thought that you'd had your baby.

The bunny is cute, though.

P is so excited! She has wanted a bunny for a long time. DH is making her wait until age 6, when she can join 4H and learn how to take care of it.

Reprehriestless Warllever,
LOL! I never thought about the title I used! I promise you the next time you see that it will be news of our new baby! I will have this baby in under a week! The bunny is keeping me busy and my mind off the baby for now.

Lelani,
TONS of hair! He looks so large just because of all the hair. I hope to learn how to spin angora into yarn! I would love to make the baby some furry baby booties.

P should come over to Pa for a visit! T. and D. are good at feeding and petting our bunny but all of the angora hair is too much work for them. I have to blow it out, brush it, clip the tangles, clip nails, and harvest the wool. I doubt T or D will be much help with any of that. I love the idea of raising an animal, harvesting the fiber, spinning the yarn, and then making something with the yarn. Hmmmm.... all I need to do now is learn to knit or crochet. LOL!

Heather,
I was so surprised that my hubby got me a bunny. I thought I would have to wait another year because of being pregnant. Maybe next year I can talk him into some sheep, goats, alpaca, or llamas. LOL!
