Paper plate and coffee filter angels

We went paper angel crazy this week. I didn't plan on doing angles all week but because the baby was so fussy and I was so tired I just did the same craft over and over. I did add new things to change it a bit every day but it is still kind of the same thing every day. We took our cone people and turned them into paper plate people. Then I decided to make wings to turn them into angles for the tree. We made them cone shaped and with and without faces and heads. We made them flat and round then large and small. We decorated them with paint, glue, glitter, yarn, coffee filters, and tissue paper squares with sparkles on it. Below are some random pictures from this project. Zee is very fussy today so I don't have time to even put the pictures in order.

Those are fantastic. I am going to have to make decorations with the boys soon. I may have to "borrow" that idea.

Oh, I'm having a 70's flashback!
We used that tissue paper with the pieces of glitter in it all the time when I was growing up..I didn't know
you could still get that!

Sorry I am so late at replying to my comments. I keep getting off track with things I need to do.

Heather, Travis isn't big into crafts or making angels but he loves to staple stuff so he liked making them because he got to staple the plate into a cone and staple on wings. LOL! Doesn't take much to make boys happy.

Yasmina, Thanks my hubby bought a large pack of paper plates (pack of 500)last year and we never eat off them so I am trying to find ways to make them useful. Another 400 or so ideas and I will have used them all up. I am going to have to get very creative to use them up because I can't bring myself to toss something out that wasn't used. LOL

LOL! Kate, I also remember the tissue paper from my childhood. I wonder if the stuff I have is left over from the 7o's? I got it from the small town local guy owned dollar store. Many of the things in that store look like they are 30 year old left overs. Many things even have old looking faded packaging.
